5 reasons why I want a Tesla

April 19, 2021
So, now that I'm going down the Tesla rabbit hole, I figure I should post what I have found out about Teslas. So, here are 5 reasons why I want to buy a Tesla.

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my brand new series of blog posts. Basically I’m doing a bit of an experiment and creating a niche channel. Also I started this channel because I am slowly becoming obsessed with Tesla vlog videos…. They are now the new mommy vlogs.  If you are like me, chances are if you stumbled across this blog because the idea of buying a Tesla has crossed your brain, so I decided to make a channel for those of us who are toying the idea about buying a Tesla.  Now, my goal with this channel is not only to talk about Teslas, but EV’s and tech in the first place to help you with your tech wants.

I figure if I’m going to dedicate my time talking about teslas I mine as well kick it off with my top 5 reasons why I want a Tesla.

Software/Tech of a Tesla Model 3

With the app you have the ability to unlock your car as well as monitor your battery charge, you can lock and unlock your doors as well as well as control the climate in your car before you enter the car.

Autopilot. I think using this will be a very useful for longer trips. Honestly, the whole automatic driving thing isn’t the biggest selling point for me. I’m one of those weirdos that doesn’t like Cruze control so I personally don’t know yet how I’m going feel about letting my car drive me everywhere but time will tell.

Finally, The fact that you get updates that improves your driving experience is amazing. Your car will get better and better over time, you can unlock features as you see fit.  Something no other car company to this point is really doing.

Safety

The model 3 comes with a 5 star safety rating. Is that good?… I think so. Because it’s an electric vehicle it has a big safety advantage over other cars… no engine. No engine opens up the front and allows a bigger crumple zone, absorbing and distributing the energy from a head on. The heavy battery means a very low centre of gravity. So incase of a side impact the chances of a roll over because less unlikely.

Besides a lot of other design features that make the car incredibly safe. Its active safety features really take safety to the next level.  The cars computer systems can detect obstacles coming up and  like a kid on a bike or a pile of rocks…. A really big pile of rocks and break or adjust the steering accordingly to prevent a collision.

Sheer Looks of a Tesla Model 3

Ok, I love the looks of the Model 3. I’m a fan of the glass roof, the big touch screen, and even the hubcaps.  But, the biggest selling point for me is the overall interior of the car. Exterior is important sure, but I spend my most of may time in the driver seat so I have to love the interior of any car for me to consider a purchase. I just don’t think it gets any better then a Tesla.

One of the biggest turn offs for me was how EV’s were designed to looked in the past. I think Some of the VW stuff coming out  looks good. But for some reason, actually I think for aerodynamics, older EV’s (like the MIEV) look really bad.

Maintenance and No gas

This reason is really appealing to me because I hate taking my cars for oil changes. I always push it off. With it being an electric car I don’t have to worry about replacing any fluids(well window washer fluid). The money I save on gas will be great for other things… like the high monthly payments I’m probably going to have to make.

Driving experience

This is probably the part I’m looking forward to the best. The Tesla driving experience. So there’s no engine.. no engine means no noise. So the drive is actually quite…. Actually I don’t know how I feel about that, I actually really like the sound of an engine.

Electric motors means torque… so much instant torque which I think would be incredibly satisfying…but what do I know, haha I drive a minivan right now. With the heavy battery giving the car a low centre of gravity, I’m assuming it would just hug those corners.  I really can’t wait to drive one.

Anyways  there’s my 5 reasons why I want a Tesla.. They may seem pretty broad but that’s because I haven’t driven one yet :D
